Aha. 

with qmail-ldap (and probably many other virtual host setups) there is no need 
to let system users influence mailable addresses.
Au contraire, when I create a system user I am SURE it won't get mail :-)

SO, maybe some sort of debconf question is in order or maybe another kind of 
test, to solve the 'newaliases' problem.
