We are, it seems, investigating alternates to Clean Access but we’ll see. I have another question – we are having an odd epidemic of users who are connecting to our network, getting local access but being blocked from the internet. It seems that the block is also specific to ports 80 and 443, as well as 22. From the DOS prompt we are generally able to resolve DNS (even when pointing it to an external DNS server). This just started happening for no reason what-so-ever, I have not made a change, upgraded or done anything on our 4.1.3 Clean Access set up. What is funny is that this also happened to my personal laptop when I was in Vermont this last week and it seemed to be an issue with Zone Alarm, which we do not use on campus. Just curious if anyone else has seen an issue similar to this. Thanks! - Sean ---- Sean Hennessey Networking and Information Security Systems Administrator The University of Portland
