I've again updated the IPMP high-level design document to account for implementation experience since the last update a couple months ago. The document (now at version 1.8) is still at:

As before, I've tried to be careful, but it's possible my changes have introduced some mistakes. If anyone sees anything that doesn't compute, please let me know. Changes from the previous version: * Added sections for: - Interface Creation Order at System Boot - Boot Environment Changes - IPMP socket ioctls that will be added, removed, or changed. * Made semantically signifcant updates to the sections for: - IPMP Singleton (to account for PSARC/2006/289) - Packet Filtering (to account for PSARC/2007/198) - DHCP Interaction - Dynamic Reconfiguration - IPMP Anonymous Group Support - Observing IPMP probes with ipmpstat -p - Machine-Parseable Output with ipmpstat -P and -F - IPMP Configuration at Boot - SIOCSLIFFLAGS -- meem
