Thanks would love a command line interface but can only find very limited 
info on using D-Bus or the Ubuntu manpage which offer very few 
instructions. Specifically it seems you can load tracks to a new playlist 
but I can't then save it.

SQLite an interesting option thanks, m3us are certainly easy to parse 
character sets aside.

I've added a feature request here@ 
https://github.com/clementine-player/Clementine/issues/5722 as I think it 
would be useful for others too, and a great adoption feature for heavy 
music listeners.
