So just checked that and yes, it imports cd data for me when I put one
in the drive and go to Music -- open audio cd. So indeed, it should
just work.

I'm using Clementine 1.3.1 on Debian here.

If you don't have it already, ou can get (but have to build it
yourself) the latest version on github
https://github.com/clementine-player/Clementine if you feel you may
need that.

First off though I would ask on the peppermint forums
