Hello Heinz,

I'm currently playing around with Penumbra, an OpenGL wrapper for Clojure.
It cuts away some incidental  complexity in OpenGL, renames/binds to
cleaner/simpler naming conventions and makes OpenGL feel more "functional
programming-ish". See http://github.com/ztellman/penumbra to get started
(the easiest way to start is to use Leiningen).

I've only done some tiny bits of 3d code, and I'm an OpenGL newbie to boot,
but Penumbra feels really nice so far. Cool to be able to eval code in emacs
and see the visuals change instantly. :)

Also check out the Clojure/Penumbra port of the Nehe opengl tutorials, that
should give you enough examples to get started.
