The official way to get started has way too many sharp edges (Download JDK, install, set JAVA_HOME, add JAVA_HOME/bin to path, download clojure.zip, extract, sacrifice chicken, run java -cp clojure.jar clojure.main) ... at which point you get a kinda crappy REPL. Oops.
