I don't see the part of tying the Clojure code to the specific target host 
as a problem in my case, as I'd use a Protocol rather than a Java class. 
Portability should be ensured.

While they might serve related purposes, these are indeed making a great 
leap forward from the original question of hints as a documentation tool. 
There's not yet any concrete demand for static typing or type checks.
