I see. I think I won't have to work with unexpanded source. And I hope my tool won't have to do too many clever things. But thanks for your explanation anyway! Following Alex's advice, I won't try to continue discussing everything about my project on this list. I will post updates that are interesting for the general public occasionally and otherwise bug the people with experience in this field directly.
