I succeeded in making a 1:1 disk copy even without this guide. The process is obvious and streamlined (although with some annoying bloat). The issue is I don't want a 1:1 image and not only there is no documentation on doing that, AFAICT it is not reasonably possible. Hence I am merely reporting here that I tried to use clonezilla for that, it failed for me, and I failed to find where the source has any head or tail while looking if such feature could be added.
