I haven't used RedHat in awhile, but I did use printtool to allow a RedHat 7.0
box to print to a Mandrake 8.1 box. I think I had it working using Samba and
LPD. I just remember that I had to switch the MDK printing system from CUPS to
LPD before it would work.
