What peaked my interest is the fact that here we have a "pretty conservative" govt org. embracing Linux. As Holger has mentioned, BW brand names are world renouned. Obviously they do a lot of business with the US and with MS who must surely have a fairly strong foothold in such a region. To me, I found this very positive news as it tells me that Linux is able to penetrate almost everywhere. Now, surely we can find some bright "conservative" in our Alberta government to have a look at Linux. It could not only be good for business but will end up saving us all on taxes (wishful thinking)
Holger: I enjoyed my stay in "Schwarbian" BW and lived in Nurtingen, just S of Stuttgart and the massive Mercedes plant.

ApecTec Inc.Hi Barclay, that's good news. And yes, they are using SuSE.However, I can't really share your view of Baden Wuerttemberg (BW) being one of the most conservative provinces. BW has always shown remarkable and progressive developments. Not only are leading companies such as SAP, Daimler Benz, Porsche, Trumpf based in BW but many others have developed outstanding products using latest technology and that includes the ICT sector. It made me think if the most conservative part of Germany is ready to embrace Linux, then Linux stands ready to spread even more rapidly. Barclay Marcel: Most probably Suse?
