I would strongly recommend that the video also be under the GNU LGPL so that it could be freely shown in schools and other LUG and anyone interested. You could definitely charge people for copy of the video on CD or VHS. No one would expect that for free but an open license on it would be a big boost. It could also help with news coverage of the event.

If you charge for the video I would also recommend that a small amount go to your LUG. Your meaning the CLUG as that is where you are a member.  If you charged $50 for a VHS copy, $5 for the tape, $20 for your time to copy it, $10 for shipping and then $15 could go to the CLUG. Just what I would do, not saying that you should or any thing.

If you make the materials GPL my company could make a financial contribution to the project. I have a deal with Rogers and could get us a good price on some radio spots, maybe.

Absolutely, now that I think about it I think video taping it would also be useful. But maybe the video would be for sale, but the hard copy would be GPL. Not sure about any presentation files though, but maybe. Havent thought about that yet. But for sure the text/hardcopy would be a GPL'd document and will likely be sent to various ezines and magazines.

I have also been in touch with Bruce Perens about a possible keynote from him. Within the next few weeks I will be trying to nail down the exact date/times and will then be seeking out additional speakers. I will also be speaking with IBM and other local companies that support Open Source solutions, for sponsorship and speakers. If you would be interested in speaking on a particular topic (these still need to be determined), I have an online questionnaire setup.

There are a few other clubs for small business that are also great contacts to make. I am targeting the Rotary Club because they have direct connections with local small businesses. If you have a better recommendation please let me know.

If there is a good presentation that someone has worked on that I could use and add to then please send me a link. I am working on two web sites now that would really help with the construction of such a presentation but they are not up yet. When they are the presentation will be available form there.
