I was just thinking about how I could install to the hard drive. Great timing for your post. Thanks a lot.
Knoppix is great. I think it is the perfect CD to give to people that want to try Linux with no risk to their currently installed software, no install skills needed and it all fits on one easy to use CD. There are also three ogg music files that are free on the CD.
Knoppix is now my main distro. for demonstrations and free gifts.

Just for interest... I'm sure a lot of you now have seen/used Knoppix. It's a fantastic little distribution that runs entirely off the CD. It's based on Debian and includes all the goodies + awesome hardware detection. I thought some might be interested in a script: /usr/local/bin/knx-hdinstall (or something like that) It's located on teh Knoppix CD and will install Knoppix to your harddisk complete with all the software it came with. It's pretty slick and since Knoppix already autodetects all the H/W on bootup, what it copies over just works. So if you like Debian but you want a really quick install... Jeff
