It
should be fine. I have seen tutorials on using fips to set up a windows
(98 or Me I believe) environment ( haven't used myself) and I didn't see
anything that would cause problems.
Essentially, all you are doing is setting up the partition space.
Formatting you would do with the Os that you were installing. Most
important rule about playing around with partitions or making changes to your
system is to always backup your data beforehand.
