IPSEC will only allow IP format over it. That is the problem. I need to create a conversion from IPX to ip and then back at each end to allow it to go over the IPSEC vpn (This is what I have gathered from postings that I found via goolge on the net, but been unable to re-create the conversion layer to work...yet..)

I am not an expert on the subject by any stretch of the matter, but I am
curious as to your choice of using IPX instead of TCP? I would assume that
IPSEC will work with IPX, but never heard of anything like that, so can't
really offer a hand on it. Would be interested in any insight you have into
the choice you made.

Subject: (clug-talk) tunneling Novel IPX over ipsec vpn
I am looking for some assistance in setting up an IPX tunnel over an
ipsec vpn (I am trying to do this for a local non-profit organization,
but not having much success at this time)
The ipsec vpn is working, and I have downloaded and installed gre and
ipxripd .
Both firewalls are running Mandrake 2.4 kernals
