I was thinking of an idea for a presentation and I know it might sound a bit strange but please hear me out.
I am assuming that most of the people on the list are tech's, meaning that they probably have more experience working with FLOSS than "selling" it. What I was thinking was a presentation on the sales/marketing end of FLOSS. Essentially a features and benefits sort of thing minimizing the challenges you face going to Linux and maximizing the positives, without resorting to MS bashing. I too often see that (and have been guilty myself) when introducing technology that people often find it confusing to learn new technology. They end up resorting to the "well...which one do YOU think I should buy?" question and then as the sales person, often selling a myriad of products, have to find a way to say this is good with out saying this is bad. What do others think? I may even be tempted to try and do the presentation. Could almost use it as an introduction to Linux for potential clients. Regards, Cameron
