I'm running KDE 3.05 yet but don't think it matters. You need to open your control panel and sync everything up in there. The print manager unless otherwise set for USERS to control printing will not work. You need to tell CUPS who is allowed to control it. It's all in the control panel there. And at present until you set that, only root will stop the outputs etc. I'm late sorry, that's all I can say for now. It's in System/PRinting manager, you'll be fine there.
