Ok I think i understand now, at the moment it reads
lpr ${MOZ_PRINTER_NAME:+'-P'}${MOZ_PRINTER_NAME}
I changed  lpr to kprinter but it still prints gibberish.
Anyway i am just going to use Konqeror and Kmail instead.
i had avoided this simpl because of the slightly different way
they worked but i think I will stick with them anyway as they
seem much faster.
