IT'S ALIVE...IT'S ALIVE!!! (circa Frankenstain) Well...after much cursing, swearing, and a reload and letting drake do it's thing while we were grocery shopping and doing laundry and stuff, we now have a up and functioing linux (Mandrake 9.0) box!
I might add that my fiance was the one who insisted on doing everything herself, so the credit goes entirely to her and I was nothing more than an adviser. She sent and recieved an e-mail via Kmail and is using the KDE 3.0 (Solairis Theme) as her desktop. Once she gets things squared away I will try and get her doing her own maintenance. She expressed some interest in looking at something similar to Outlook (evolution) to organize her stuff. Got to love this woman...keen and eager to do things all on her own and willing to experiment. I anticipate her doing much experimenting in the bedroom ;-). Oh...I should add. Her office is in the bedroom...the place she will be experimenting. LOL!!! If you feel the need or desire, send her a congrats or encouragement as she begins her journey with Linux ([EMAIL PROTECTED]). Again...thanks all for the help and assistance with everything. Think we just had a bad install last time around. Thanks for the insight though! Ca,meron
