RedHat doesn't like to give minimum specs because it all depends on what you want it to do. RedHat will not run on a 386, I believe you need at least a 586 processor. While all the software is compiled for 386 the kernel is compiled for 586, 686, and athlon CPUs so it will not run on older machines. The best requirements I could get for you are from Redhat 7.0: Recommended Hardware Requirements
- Pentium-class or better with 64MB RAM and 1.2GB hard disk space for workstation, 600MB disk space for a server - Bootable CD-ROM drive or 3 1/2" floppy drive Minimum Hardware Requirements - x86 processor with 32MB RAM and 500MB hard disk space - Bootable CD-ROM drive or 3 1/2" floppy drive Jesse On Wed, 2003-03-12 at 22:11, Cameron Nikitiuk wrote: > Hi All, > > Really simple question for anyone.
