What! And VI isn't... Grrrr :)
Basic VI maybe not but VIM now that a pretty large subject in it's own right. It wants to be Emacs, it's envious. LOL.
Though I don't think Vim could be used as an UI quite like Emacs can be. Remember the one guys argument on Slashdot about the what makes an OS, If I remember correctly, some one pointed out that Emacs met all his requirements. Though his definition of an OS was definitely flawed.
