Yeah, in most cases they will ask for either .html, .doc, or .txt pasted into a form. I almost always give .html or resort to .txt if they don't want html. I feel the same way as you about the .doc too :) I do not cater to people who demand my Resume in a proprietary format like Word or Wordperfect. I'll either give it to them in a different open format or I just won't apply. From what I have seen so far though, you are pretty safe with am html resume.
