I’ve heard of some people having problems with the refills, but that is usually if they have done it themselves.  Places like Island Inkjet (in a lot of the malls) do a really excellent job with it.  I used to get them to do refills for me all the time before I got my laser.  :-)

I've heard both stories where people have had nothing but trouble with refilling.  In other cases there was no complains.  Honestly I think I'm still going to give it a try ;-).  Consider the following:

1.    Pay $50 buy a new printer >> Pay $50 buy recommended replacement ink >> Feel bad about being ripped off :-(
2.    Pay $50 buy a new printer >> Pay $50 buy a new printer >> Help pollute the world with additional junk :'-(
3.    Pay $50 buy a new printer >> Pay $20 buy refill ink >> Make mistakes, get mad, figure out how to do it correctly >> Refill ink >> Feel better with not giving in to the corps. :-D

Sorry Jesse, but this *DOES* feel like microsoft's "first ones free..." mentality.  And I total disagree with companies pushing the almightly buck rather than making things better for the customer and at the same time ruining the environment.  Just my $0.02....

1.    What are you're experiences with ink refills?

I have only had bad experiences with ink refills. From most of the ink
getting on the floor instead of the cartridge, to rendering it unusable.
I never recommend that anyone refill their ink.
