Think of a printer like a guinea pig or a car. The initial investment really does cost you nothing when you look at it. It is the gas, oil, insurance, etc...or in the case of the pig...cage, food, shavings...that costs you the money.

Although I've never seen a new ink jet for less than $75 dollars, and I think some of them only come with half full ink cartridges anyways. At work we recently replaced an old HP laser because a toner cart. would have been $150, and a new printer was about $300. I was just letting you know that I have not had any good experiences with ink refills, but you may have a better experience than I did.
