I have kpovmodeler installed, but when I run it, I get a "Signal 11" error.
If I login as root, and try to run it from a shell prompt (from within KDE),
it complains that it can't find the x server. I've noticed another program
that would exhibit similar behaviour - either works or gives me the can't
find x server error when I'm logged in as root, otherwise just gives me a
Signal 11. Any tips? I've tried reinstalling kpovmodeler - do I need to do
this as a regular user? or not inside a shell prompt window? If it helps,
I'm using Gentoo and have emerged the required packages.

On a separate but related note... when I get the Signal 11 error, I try to
check out the backtrace tab on the error window. This fails and reports
"gdb" isn't installed. When I check my installed packages, gdb is there.
Again, I tried to reinstall it, and get the same results.

These issues aren't tooo critical as I'm not a big graphic artist, and thus
far all the other apps I need to use are running fine. I'd just like to
understand why the errors are occuring, and make sure it's not going to be a
problem in the future with some other app that I do need to use.

Thanks for any input.

Shawn
