Hi All,

IYR I was having troubles with a fresh install of Red Hat 8.0. After
discussions with people it seems as if something got pooched with my X
configuration. Thanks to everyone for all the many helpful suggestions, but
nothing I have tried seems to work, partily due to my newbie status. The
challenge I have and just cannot get by, is that I am not able to get in to
reconfig my X. I was getting extremely frustrated and the last thing I
wanted to do was to reinstall it from scrtach.

After some pondering I think I may have found an interesting way to resolve
the issue. I am going to attempt to use a bootable-cd linux distro to at
least get access to my files and try and reconfigre x from there. Just in
the beginning prcess right now, so have no idea how things will transpire.
I am using DemolInus 3.0 which features a chubby penguin with sideburns for
its logo. Sort of like a penguin witha mullet.

Wish me luck!

Cameron
