Cameron,

Just a couple of suggestions. If you don't want to get out a scalpel and start
reading a medical book so you can try and disect the xf86config-4 file,
reinstalling may be your best option. As we all know RedHat 8.0 will be losing
its support soon, so it may be in your best interest to try installing Fedora.
There's a good chance that it might setup your hardware properly on
installation, and your going to want to upgrade sooner or later anyways. The
other thing you can try is downloading Knoppix. Boot with it and see if it
configures your X server properly. If it does it is really simple to install it
to the hard drive, and it will keep the same X configuration.
