As many of you probably know MS tried to block out 3rd party clients from MSN
by changing a few details in the protocol. Kopete has it fixed, but only in
CVS...so away I go...

I found out my autoconf was out of date, compiled it from source, did some
tinkering with ln's and it was happy...then it said my automake was outdated
so I thought ok no problem and updated it. Now Im getting this...

[EMAIL PROTECTED] kdenetwork]# make -f Makefile.cvs
This Makefile is only for the CVS repository
This will be deleted before making the distribution

*** YOU'RE USING automake (GNU automake) 1.6.
*** KDE requires automake 1.6
make[1]: *** [cvs] Error 1
make: *** [all] Error 2
[EMAIL PROTECTED] kdenetwork]#

If it wasnt 3AM that might be amusing.....

suggestions? I take it I need the non-gnu version [???]

me confused :-p
