you probably need a newer version of kdelibs... IIRC kopete from CVS now
requires 3.2 ... i know they were keeping 3.1 support around, but i'm not
sure if that's a configure option of if they've just dropped that charade
all together.
Well, Im back. Royally screwed up KDE trying to get a new kdelibs in. Luckily
its fixed without a re-install. The 3.2 kdelibs are still listed as unstable,
and I don't trust me...heh. I tried 3.14, the latest 3.1 I could find in RPM
form, since my install-from-source experiences havent gone well with
Mandrake. I have a feeling Im either gonna have to try though...going to
windoze just to talk to people sucks.
I finally got my gentoo install to let me login as me [was an rc problem I
think, wrong runlevel], maybe things are more up to date and will work better
on it. But it needs a kernel fixing job. At least Im learning stuff :)
Thanx for your patience. Nick
Might I suggest using gaim, or another msn client? At least while you wait for your package to come out as an rpm??? There are many linux msn clients and all of them have been updated to the new protocol as far as I know. Might have better luck. I installed a newer version of gaim compiled from source into an rpm without updating anything (although I had to install some devel packages).
