After dicking with it for all this time, I discovered that the port that I was using; 631 (according to the Linksys documentation) is wrong, at least for Linux. Port 9100 (what I am used to seeing at work) works just fine. So I am happy to report that the LinkSys PrintServer PSUS4 is an excellent little print server that is supported both under Windows and under Linux. Good going LinkSys and the gang at CUPS (even if your GUI needs some work).
