I thought some people (maybe Jesse ;-) would be interested in GNOME 2.6 for Slackware. I had found some hastily compiled packages (that I won't link to here) but they didn't work very well since they didn't deal with a lot of the (apparently) necessary gconf configuration. So I was pleased to find Dropline GNOME 2.6 on Linuxpackages.net this morning. http://www.linuxpackages.net/redirect.php?id=988&url=http://www.dropline.net/gnome/files/dropline-installer-2.4.5-i686-1dl.tgz I haven't tried it yet, since I'm still working out the kinks from the last install. Standard disclaimer for third party packages applies, and YMMV. Enjoy!
