Thanks for clearing things up about the different X servers. I did not install
the r128 package, but I do have the man page on my system, so I guess it is
installed. I tried using the ati driver and turning off fbdev, and it works.
I'll try it with the r128 driver as well. The thing that I wasn't sure about was
glxinfo shows:
direct rendering: No
does this even matter? It seems to be working better though, I'll have to test
it out by watching some more videos though.
