I was recently very impressed w/ Astaro Linux (astaro.com - there is a version for 
free home use), although I tried it on a 266MHz w/ 256 RAM and it
ran quite slowly... Other than that FreeBSD w/ natd and ipfw (or ipfilter) are what I 
use (i know, it's not linux but what's a boy to do?)
