Thanks Jessie.

I was sure I followed all their instructions, and still wasn't able to get things
running. But the sax2 line looks different than what I was doing. I'll try again in
the next day or so.

I have installed the Nvidia driver through YOU in the past, but it installs an
old version anyways. It very simple to get the latest Nvidia drivers on your
box. Just go to the Nvidia website ( http://www.nvidia.com/ ) and download the
Linux IA32 graphic card driver installer. There are special instruction for
installing under SuSE on the download page. It's as simple as switching to
runlevel 3 and running the installer as root. This will give you a wizard that
will guide you through installing the drivers and downloading/compiling the
kernel module. Once it is done you run Sax2 with the command:
# sax2 -m 0=nvidia
and configure your graphics card. Don't worry about checking the 3d acceleration
check box, as the docs say that it doesn't work in SuSE 9.0. Once you are done
you should be able to switch to runlevel 5 and see the Nvidia splash screen when
X starts up.
