I have been using it as well as some of the more recent stuff on the web.
Some topics in the book are in the wrong section since LPI moved them from
102 to 101 and vice versa, but overall it is an excellent reference book.
Since most of the 101 exam is basic stuff that hasn't changed in a long time
it is mostly still relevant.
