Thank you Kevin for your support to the group and membership at large.

I wish at this time to state that I am personally done discussing this
situation. I believe that we have come to an impasse that is certain to
escalate only to the detriment of the group. I apologize that we are not doing
things fast enough and with enough transparency. I will continue to do what it
required of me by the Bylaws the group has enacted.

Aaron I would respectfully ask that you do not respond to this email as I
believe no response is necessary as I will not be having any further part in
this discussion.

Thank you all for your time.

Sincerely,

Kari Major
Secretary
Calgary Linux Users Group

To all involved, Executive or Membership.

This is not positive. The executive have done their best to run CLUG in a way
that we're all enjoying. First and foremost, that should be kept in mind
before this turns into a mutiny.

Aaron. You did a great presentation (I'm about half way through converting my
LAN at home, I'll let you know the success as I get more completed. Email
scared me there though...) You've contributed perhaps more than any other
single member. Regardless, you are still only one of a small number, and
either you're taking comments from the executive far too personally, or
you're taking too much enjoyment from attacking them. Back off. You of all
people should understand the frustration of being attacked for something that
you're doing in an unpaid capacity. Of course they'll screw up, we all do.
(Look how long it took you to come to Gentoo, for example). Yes, Jarrod
overreacted to your post. But you're just upping the ante, and the damage
all around is rising exponentially. What good can come of it? Really,
should the whole executive quit? You asked at the meeting who would take
over for the current executive. These threads certainly aren't making that
look attractive to anyone. I wouldn't want a volunteer position which meant
I was spending all my volunteer time defending my actions. Would you?
Jarrod started it, in an overreaction. But you're certainly not doing
anything to contribute. It time to drop it, as Jarrod already seems to have.

If I posted this on Microsoft's website as an example of the "community"
that's supporting my infrastructure how would it look? Community is being
destroyed here literally with each additional email.

Membership. I suspect that this thread has been hijacked (not in the sense
that's been overdiscussed here lately) due to misunderstandings and over
reactions all around. Lets ignore the bickering, and move on to continue our
discussions focusing on ending with a positive outcome.

The goal here is to promote attendance and activity by longer term members
without driving new people away. Lets get on that topic, rather than
watching 2 contributing long term members; both with time on CLUGs executive;
tear this group apart with useless infighting and bickering.

Kev.
