aren't you glad we don't have meta-moderators?
What does that mean?
if you have an account on slashdot.org, you will be invited to moderate or to meta-moderate;
moderators assign various moderations to individual posts; the sum of these moderations gives each post a score, which in turn drives which comments get displayed, and which ones get filtered.
in addition, there is a meta-moderation process, where previous moderations get marked as fair or unfair. So if a moderator screws up, it decreases their chances to be invited as moderator again.
so just to make sure there is no misunderstanding, my comment was intended to be a light-hearted joke.
