Hmmmm...I regularly VNC into my home box and would like a bit more security.
It is primarily the windows box that I am doing this with right now, but I
am setting up a Linux and possible MacOS box as well. I use one of the
free dncs services instead of using IP address.

Any chance you could a a miniHOWTO on what you do to the list... or even
offlist Dalin.

WOuld be much appreciated.

Dalin, if you are putting together a miniHOWTO, I would be interested as well.

With regards to the Windows side, I have used VNC but unsecured (I know it is not a good idea), but typically I have been using www.gotomypc.com which is a charged service. Gotomypc has been bought by Citrix and is quite secure. I have also quickly tested a product from www.logmein.com -- for the free version, I don't like the shrunk down screen size. Another one that is offered is www.qnext.com -- I have tried the irc and the telephony but not the remote access.

Thus far, I have only used commercial products to access my home machines (has a dynamic IP). While I am somewhat familiar with the concept of using dynamic DNS to access a dynamic IP over the Internet, are you aware of any good documentation out there.
