KDE comes with KSambaPlugin these days:

which is a set of panels for the control center (server config) and for konqi
(right click properties of folders).
if your contact is using Windows, well ... then do as Robert mentioned. and i
suppose i'd also ask why people keep asking for Windows support help on this
list? oh right! Windows doesn't have a user community like Open Source does
that makes it easy to ask these questions and find answers. so ... why is
your contact using Windows again? ;)
