Quoting Gustin Johnson <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>:
I don't think so.
From the bar along bottom, click on the icon that is called konsole (or maybe shell). From the command prompt type the following:
telnet smtp.telusplanet.net 25
You sould see the following:
$ telnet smtp.telusplanet.net 25 Trying 199.185.220.249... Connected to smtp.telusplanet.net. Escape character is '^]'. 220 priv-edtnes56.telusplanet.net ESMTP server (InterMail vM.6.01.04.04 201-2131-118-104-20050224) ready Mon, 2 May 2005 11:26:39 -0600
Will it work if I do ssh smtp.telusplanet.net 25 ? I do not like to use telnet when ssh is available.
Ah no. Besides this is a cause where using Telnet is not a security threat at all.
