Hi Gustin, here are the outputs:

uname -a:

Linux prometheus 2.6.12-9-386 #1 Mon Oct 10 13:14:36 MST 2005 1686 GNU/Linux

gcc --version:

gcc(GCC)4.0.2 20050808 (prerelease) (Ubuntu 4.0.1-4ubuntu9)
then the copyright info

when running the nvidia pacakge, it warms me that the kernel was
compiled using gcc 3.4 and that any modifications with the 4.0 won't
work b/c it must be the same version as the originally-used one.
