Very true, however I don't recommend this method. Why, you ask?

Well,skype-rec is a relatively unsophisticated script. Another thing I 
mentioned at the LinuxFest was that I lost a 45-minute interview once. That 
was due to skype-rec.

Skype-rec (at the time anyhow) simply glommed on to the in and out audio 
streams and then started Skype. When a call was initiated, it would create 
00001in.au and 00001out.au files (don't quote me on the file names). If you 
hung up on one call and made another, it would create 0002 files and so on.

However - if you SHUT Skype down and then restarted it, skype-rec starts over 
at 0001 again thus overwriting any existing file that you may have, forgotten 
to move, and want to keep.

So, unless skype-rec has been improved (or you'd like to improve it), I don't 
recommend it. I recommend Gizmo and since neither are Free I'll freely chose 
between the better product without hesitation.

There's nothing quite so embarrassing as losing an interview with someone and 
having to call them back.
