What blue "refreshing folders" screen?? Don't think I've ever seen that on 
kmail - and I've been using it every day for years. I usually get an 
immediate response when I select another folder. Once in a blue moon, I get a 
delay going from one message to another, but that's about it for problems.
 
I've tried Netscape mail and some other mail programs, but always seem to 
gravitate back to kmail for ease if use.
