So, I've installed the latest Kubuntu on my laptop. So far so good. Except for one little sticking point with VMWare.
I have 3 VMs setup to emulate the development environments I need. These are Windows environments (hence the reason for the OT). One of them WinXPHome works fine for a while then locks up. When this happens I get no keyboard control, which means I can't go to console and kill the process. So I hit the power. The moment I do though, the VM recovers / shuts down, but now Kubuntu is shutting down. The other two VMs seem to work fine (they're both win2k). My question is if this is a Kubuntu, VMWare, or WinXPHome issue? Or if anyone else has seen this. If it's purely an XP problem, I'll shutup and take my issues off the list. But with *ubuntu being so new, I'm curious if anyone else has seen similar issues with VMWare on it? Thanks for any feedback. (btw, if it's windows specific feedback, please respond off list) Shawn _______________________________________________ clug-talk mailing list [email protected] http://clug.ca/mailman/listinfo/clug-talk_clug.ca Mailing List Guidelines (http://clug.ca/ml_guidelines.php) **Please remove these lines when replying
