How is the temperature situation? I had a router (don't know the real model, it was a cheapo dell wireless router) that kept overheating in the summer because it was on top of my cable modem. If they aren't getting adequate cooling, this could be the case. When my router was overheating it was semi-functional in the sense that the correct lights were on, but nobody was home. Other things to try: - Move them to a different breaker and/or outlet; don't rule out electrical problems just because some other piece of hardware woks in that socket.
