I use MythTV on a Fedora core 5 machine. It is great. It streams video to a MediaMVP box in my TV room.
Installing myth took a bit of effort but was fairly straight forward. I just followed the Fedora Mythtv howto. Getting the MediaMVP to work with Myth took a bit more effort. You need to get it to use the mvpmc firmware rather than the proprietary stuff it comes with. The newer versions of the MediaMVP require jumping through hoops to use the open source mvpmc. But in my opinion the effort is worth it. Carl On Wed, 2006-11-08 at 15:39 -0700, shane wrote: > Has anyone created a Linux PVR before? What software did they find to > work > the best? MythTV?
