Hi, I just installed Feisty and wanted a WYSIWYG web page editor, Nvu sounded like it could work for me. I looked in synaptic but could not find it in there. Doing a search I discovered that Nvu had been removed from the repository. I found a deb file called nvu-dev_1.0-0ubuntu4_all.deb downloaded it, and installed it with GDebi Package installer. I saw the app install but could not find a link in my panel anywhere. I clicked on some of the installed files in the folder and found one called Nvu (an application X shell script) that seemed to start the program but not before showing a "do you want to run or display" dialogue box. If it was windows it would be an easy thing to create a shortcut to the exe.
I was able to create a link from this file to the desktop but not to the panel. I want this thing to run like the other apps and show an icon under "Programming". I would like integration with Firefox if possible. one thing I am concerned about is dependencies but do not know how to check this. Anyone know how to do this? Please let me know. Thanks Robert
