I'm using Ubuntu Feisty and have been printing to an HP PSC 1210 (colour ink jet printer/scanner combo) at work. At home I scan from a Cannon N670U (from lsusb) and print to a Samsung 1430 laser without any problems. As I recall the cannon scanner was under CAN$100 and the Samsung printer was around CAN$200, I have no idea what the PSC-1210 cost - work paid for it.
