2.6.21.5 for the 2007.1 box and 2.6.12-27 for the older box, it picks the card up, just getting the sound out of it is amazingly out to lunch. if it does this correctly, that is you are able to see the card , select it and use it at will under ubuntu, than there would be something amiss with the mandrivas in the field of sound, and maybe i should be looking at the mandriva club and bugzilla for a reliable solution.
